Florin Mall in Sacramento has closed its doors for good. Demolition has begun and a new power center will take its place. The mall just never recovered from the loss of Weinstocks and then the JC Penney outlet some years later.
However, a new mall is planned in Elk Grove.

I went shopping there a lot when I lived in South Sacramento (1988-1989).
